Has anyone ever tried to get a town to do what is right but they won't?
For 9 months I have tried to get my town to act on a neighbour's encroachment on my private sewer line. It does not matter that for days I had raw sewer running down my front lawn and down my driveway. That sewer ended up spilling and exploding all over my basement and all over me!! So what are we suppose to do. Well trust the town to help us of course, especially since we pay so much money in property taxes. To enforce their codes and do what is right but alas that is not so. Instead they have allowed an illegal connection to continue, allowed my neighbour to change a connection into my sewer line without any permission or the necessary permits and has done nothing about it. How do you fight a neighbour and a town when you are financially strapped.
